More than 200 young singers from all over the world participated in the first edition of the Olympic Voices competition, conceived by Andrea Marcon and supported by the Cariverona Foundation, focused on the Baroque repertoire. Up for grabs a leading role in Händel’s Alcina 2021 edition under the scrutiny of an authoritative international jury.
In the fantastic setting of the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, everything is played in a few minutes of audition.
Through interviews with the jurors and capturing the throbbing behind the scenes experienced by the young candidates, the documentary produced in 2020 by the Vicenza Quartet Society tells the final stages of the competition up to the announcement of the winners.
