In the style of the famous radio “impossible interviews”, linked to the charm and craft of illustrious writers, in this unpublished story for voices (reciters, singers) and orchestra, we imagine the surreal encounter between Luigi Vanvitelli and Franco Zeffirelli, artists of several united, in this case, by a passion for beauty and musical theatre. Wittily solicited and stimulated to the “impossible” confrontation, our Vanvitelli, evoked in the sumptuous spaces of the Royal Palace of Caserta, will exchange observations, gossip, ideas with his “interviewer” on the intriguing links that connect music, scene and architecture, offering anecdotes and news about a luxuriant historical period. All against a sound background made pertinent and fascinating by the revival of theme songs, attributable to authors and titles linked to the Neapolitan musical culture. The aim of the show is to offer the public, in a theatrical dimension, the portrait of a visionary and ingenious architect such as Vanvitelli was, inviting at the same time a reflection on our country’s healthy and infinite vocation for melodrama
