Raphaël Pichon and the Pygmalion, choir and orchestra—a leading music ensemble thanks to programmes and performances following historical criteria—will pay a visit to the modernist concert hall for the third time to inaugurate the Palau de la Música Catalana 2023-24 season and the Palau 100 concert series with a unique programme. A unique version of Mozart’s Requiem, in which movements from the Mass for the Dead are combined with fragments of Gregorian liturgy and other works by the composer, specially chosen to provide an overarching theme and sweeping vision within the context of the Salzburg genius’ musical oeuvre.
