ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
An example evening of the wardrobe in operation (a little damaged by the hinges of the doors due to transport on the narrow stairs leading to the room). The underlying theme is a simulated psychoanalytic session on the words of Mozart’s Cherubino (outline available on the Site). On stage Lorenzo Arruga (the psychoanalyst, on the piano) and three young singers with an instinct for play: Paola Quagliata, initially a flexible light soprano voice, Davide Livermore, (yes, the future director sought after by the great opera houses) then light tenor at the As. Li specialization courses. Co., improviser of lightning-fast and irrepressible happenings, Demetrio Colaci, sumptuous and seductive baritone. They intertwine, paraphrase, and also sing accompanying arias and duets; in order:
1. Voi che sapete (Cherubino’s aria from Mozart: “Le nozze di Figaro)”;
2. Lindoro’s Serenade (from Rossini: “The Barber of Seville”);
3. My good when it comes (from Paisiello, “Nina pazza per amore”);
4. Deh, vieni alla finestra (from Mozart, “Don Giovanni”);
5. madamina il catalogo è questo (from Mozart, “Don Giovanni”);
6. Harlequin’s Serenade (from Leoncavallo, “Pagliacci”);
7. Una voce poco fa (from Rossini, “Il barbiere di Siviglia”);
8. Duet of the Fly (from Offenbach, “Orpheus in Hell”).
The evening is realized with electrifying enjoyment of the public involved.
