ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
Immortal masterpiece, Die Csardasfürstin, with its noble, bohemian characters, love complications and catchy melodies, is a monument of lightness itself. The production with a particularly rich exhibition, directed by Kossuth prize winner Attila Vidnyánszky, goes back to the original 1916 version of the work. This time, we can enjoy a similar experience as the audience more than a hundred years ago, according to the original intention of the brilliant creators.
The costumes dreamed up by Krisztina Berzsenyi are traditional, that is, brilliantly elegant. Their glittering evening dresses and long-sleeved uniforms conjure up the happy times of peace on stage. The most special element of Balázs Cziegler’s grandiose and mysterious set is the giant gramophone, which brings popular melodies to life. The spectacular production is completed by Yvette Bozsik’s choreography, the whole stage is a colorful cavalcade, dance and elegance.
