With an excellent integrated program with themes From Italy to Mexico, its most beautiful songs, the Sinaloa Opera Workshop of the Sinaloense Institute of Culture was presented at the Pablo de Villavicencio Theater, with the piano accompaniment of the teacher Zlatina Valkova and the maestro Salomón Gil, under the artistic direction of the maestro José Manuel Chu.

On a stage illuminated with the colors of the flags of the two countries, which are the same, the bass Cyan Rangel opened with the piece Il mio belfocus, by Benedetto Marcello (1686-1739), followed by the soprano Samantha Sánchez with Amarilli mine beautiful, by Giulio Caccini (1551-1618) while the soprano Claudia Puebla continued with Sogno, by Francesco Paolo Tosti (1846-1916).

In turn, the tenor Pablo Falcón performed Íntima, by the Mexican Tata Nacho (1894-1968), and Luis Cornejo was applauded with his excellent interpretation of Dicitencello vuie, by Rodolfo Falvo (1873-1937), and the tenor Alejandro Pacheco, In his turn, he provoked enthusiasm with Despedida, by María Grever (1884-1951).

After that, the appreciated culichi soprano Jessica Torrero performed Non t’amo piú, by Francesco Paolo Tosti, and Evelyn Tovón gave her voice to the song I’m homesick for you, by Tata Nacho.

In a second round, Cyan Rangel sang Bésame mucho, by Consuelo Velázquez (1916-2005), and Samantha Sánchez scored a ten with her interpretation of Estrellita, by Manuel M. Ponce (1882-1948).

The evening continued with Claudia Puebla performing Alma mia, by María Grever and Pablo Falcón was applauded for La Danza, by Giaochino Rossini (1792-1868), while the tenor Luis Cornejo continued with that beautiful song that is La barca del sailor, by Manuel M. Ponce, and the tenor Alejandro Pacheco, in his turn, sang L’alba separa dalla luz l’ombra, by Francesco Paolo Tosti.

At the closing, Jessica Torrero beautifully performed Lamento Gitano, by María Grever, and Evelyn Tovón concluded the evening with Non ti scordar di me, by E. De Curtis (1875-1937).

And finally they awarded two pilón pieces, sung by everyone: the Neapolitan dance Funiculí, funiculá (among the public’s clapping), and the celebrated popular song O solé mio.
