ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
To celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day, we look back to the year 2001 and the world premiere of the Aboriginal dance opera called “Bones”.
Co-created by Sadie Buck and Alejandro Ronceria, this two-year project at Banff Centre was a unique exploration of music, dance, and the integral role these performative acts play in Indigenous communities. Deeply spiritual and rich in cultural context, the story followed our journey on this Earth, the return of our bones to the Earth, and the return of our spirits to the stars.
